El Calvario
El Calvario (Calle La Planicie, Caracas) – this park (a.k.a. Parque Ezequiel Zamora) is located in the city center, several avenues west of Catedral de Caracas and Simon Bolivar’s birthplace, and within walking distance of Palacio de Miraflores (the official office of the Venezuelan president). Since it’s on top of a hill, there’s a lengthy, wide staircase that leads to the top. Within this area is a café (Café Venezuela), a monument to Simón Bolívar, and a chapel. Tourists come here to get a panoramic view of the city.
